Gareth Williams, founder of ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) and the John Walker and Oliver Parks Foundation, has received excellent feedback from members of the community for his recent acts of kindness, especially his Easter visit to Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Gareth’s efforts have brought so much joy to local children, their families, and NHS staff.
A Little Sparkle and Hope
While many spent Easter Sunday unwrapping chocolate eggs at home, Gareth was out making sure Wrexham’s youngest and bravest had a day they would never forget. In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and community spirit, Gareth visited the Children’s Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, armed with dozens of Easter eggs, activity books, and smiles. His mission? To bring a little sparkle and hope to the faces of poorly children spending Easter in hospital – and he delivered with true magic.

Each egg and book was handed over with care, ensuring the children had something joyful to hold onto – a memory to treasure during tough times. For many, the bright treats and fun activities were more than just a distraction – they were a welcome respite. They were a symbol that their community had not forgotten them.
But Gareth’s kindness didn’t stop at the children. In a show of gratitude, he also presented the nurses, the unsung heroes of the children’s ward, with some beautiful flowers, a heartfelt thank-you card, and £100 out of his own pocket towards an afternoon or evening out. A small but powerful gesture to say, “We see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you.”

Another Act of Random Kindness
However, this almost never happened. Just days before the big visit, Gareth’s own vehicle broke down, putting the entire Easter delivery in jeopardy. But, in another true act of random kindness, Sam at Enterprise Rentals Wrexham stepped in and saved the day. Hearing Gareth’s story, Sam immediately reached out and provided a van at an incredibly low, discounted rate, allowing Gareth to get everything to the hospital in time for Easter Sunday.

“Without Sam and Enterprise Wrexham, none of this would have been possible,” Gareth said he “was in a real bind, and they absolutely saved Easter for those children. I can’t thank them enough. I would highly recommend them to anyone!” Gareth also sends a massive thank you to the local businesses and community members who supported the mission:
🌟 Enterprise Wrexham (special thanks to Sam!)
🌟 Marks & Spencer
🌟 Boots
🌟 Tesco
🌟 Card Factory
🌟 And the amazing people of Wrexham who rallied behind this cause with open hearts.
