Moneypenny recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of a special employee while also releasing details of some initiatives they are putting into operation.
Two New Services
Handover and Follow-Ups
The two new services are payment taking and appointment booking. They aim to remove the handovers and follow-ups that can sometimes slow companies down. Moneypenny’s team of expert PAs and trusted technology will ensure callers can pay securely over the phone and get their slot confirmed in real time in a client’s diary.
The appointment booking service allows Moneypenny PAs to schedule, rearrange or cancel appointments during the call. They can also capture the details businesses need and update calendars or booking platforms instantly. For payment processing, trained PAs process deposits, balances, invoices, or gift vouchers on the spot and are fully PCI-compliant and compatible with most virtual terminals, so customers do not face delays, and in-house teams are free to focus on their work.

“Great conversations end with something useful done,” said Jesper With-Fogstrup, Group CEO of Moneypenny. “When a caller is ready to book or buy, they should not be pushed to a web form or asked to call back. By combining our brilliant people with proven technology, we book the slot, take the payment and finish the job on the first call. It is a better experience for customers, a more efficient model for businesses, and a straightforward way to improve conversion and cash flow.”
Momentum Matters
The services are particularly valuable for sectors where momentum matters, including beauty and wellness, restaurants and venues, entertainers and events, trades and home services, and professional firms, helping secure revenue in the moment and reducing payment-chasing on anything chargeable, from maintenance bills to fees.
Proudly rooted in Wrexham and supporting clients across the UK and the US, Moneypenny continues to invest in solutions that blend human expertise with smart automation to deliver right-first-time outcomes and measurable results. These two new benefits are available immediately to new and existing Moneypenny clients.
Sophine McGarity
‘Gappy’
Moneypenny has marked a significant milestone as Sophie McGarity received her 10-year award. Sophie joined the company a decade ago as a “gappy” through the WeMindTheGap programme.
Moneypenny by COO Wendy Swash, CFO Andrew Collis, and Finance Director Mark Williams made the presentation. In attendance was Diane Aplin, Chief Communications, Impact and Fundraising Officer at WeMindTheGap.
Sophie joined Moneypenny in 2015 as a trainee in the Accounts team. She has since become a highly valued and trusted member of the team. Her journey reflects the long-term impact of the WeMindTheGap model, which Moneypenny co-founder Rachel Clacher introduced to provide life-changing opportunities for young people.
Life Coaching
WeMindTheGap offers programmes that combine life coaching, work experience, education, and emotional support. It also provides young people with the tools to build confidence, find employment, and lead independent lives.

Diane Aplin at WeMindTheGap said, “We are immensely proud of Sophie and everything she has achieved over the past 10 years. Her success is a testament to her talent and hard work. It also reflects the transformative power of giving young people the space, support, and opportunities they deserve. The entire charity is delighted to celebrate this milestone with her.”
“An Absolute Credit”
Sophie McGarity mentioned, “I’m proud of how far I’ve come since joining Moneypenny through WeMindTheGap. The programme gave me the confidence and foundation I needed, and Moneypenny has continued to support me throughout my career. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and excited for the future.”
Jesper With-Fogstrup, Group CEO of Moneypenny, commented, “Sophie is an absolute credit to the Accounts team and to Moneypenny. Her commitment, professionalism, and positive impact over the past ten years embody everything we value. We are incredibly proud of our long-standing connection with WeMindTheGap. It is a brilliant charity, originally founded by our co-founder, Rachel Clacher and Diane Aplin. Sophie’s journey is a perfect example of the life-changing outcomes it helps create.”
