Wrexham-born keynote speaker, author and therapist Cat Williams has taken on two new major roles at a national organisation for professional speakers.
Building Your Confidence
Cat, who lives in Holt and founded Building Your Confidence Ltd, has received an appointment as the Regional President of the Professional Speaking Association (PSA) North West and the new Fundraising Lead for the PSA Foundation.
For the past 12 months, Cat has been Vice President of the PSA North West. She takes over as president in January. She said: I’m really excited to be stepping into these two new positions in 2026 and helping to lead the PSA in the north west, as well as leading its charitable arm as well.
“I joined the PSA two years ago, and it has transformed my professional career as a speaker. There is so much support for speakers within the PSA community, so I felt I wanted to give back by volunteering my time supporting others within the PSA.”
In her role as North West President, Cat will be responsible for organising monthly meetings for speakers in the area, including sourcing speakers to motivate, inspire and educate at their events.
Creating Partnerships
As Fundraising Lead for the PSA Foundation, Cat will focus on fundraising and creating partnerships for the organisation. The PSA Foundation was set up to support and help members experiencing financial hardship and/or who need advice about their speaking career. It provides a listening ear for PSA members and offers assistance with annual membership fees and tickets to PSA events for members in financial hardship.
Cat has been a therapist for more than 25 years and founded Building Your Confidence Ltd in 2023 to combine her work as a clinical hypnotherapist and keynote speaker. She helps clients to set themselves free from issues such as anxiety, imposter syndrome, panic attacks, fear of public speaking, sleep issues, lack of confidence and negative behaviour patterns in as little as 21 days.
She also speaks at conferences and events, and in schools, colleges and universities with her “Stallion Mind” talk, which explains how we can control our subconscious better if we learn how to take the reins.
