This July, Wrexham’s Queen’s Square will once again become a stage for all as Paallam Arts brings back Spirit Fest, the city’s free, flagship international outdoor dance and movement festival. Returning on Saturday 18 July for its fourth edition, the free festival promises a day packed with spectacle, creativity and opportunities to experience world-class performance right in the heart of the city. Running from 10.30 am until 6.30 pm, Spirit Fest 2026 will transform the square into a vibrant meeting place where local audiences can experience artists from Wales, Ireland, India, Spain and beyond.
What makes Spirit Fest special is its ability to bring together different art forms in an accessible, welcoming place
. Whether you’re a fan of dance and the arts, or simply looking for something different to enjoy with friends and family, this year’s programme offers plenty to discover—all for free.
Spectacular Highlights and Global Performers
Among the highlights is the first-ever Wrexham appearance by NoFit State Circus, the internationally celebrated contemporary circus company. Known for pushing the boundaries of outdoor performance, their visit marks a major milestone for the festival and is expected to be one of the standout moments of the summer.

People can also look forward to performances from Kitsch n Sync Collective, whose unique mix of comedy, physical theatre and street performance has delighted audiences across Wales and the UK. Adding an international dimension to the programme, AyodhanaKalarippayattu Gurukul from India is participating, along with Irish company Cirkada Circus, which will present a specially commissioned site-specific work, supported by Culture Ireland and created especially for the unique setting of Queen’s Square.
Across the day, visitors can expect an energetic blend of dance, circus, theatre, and movement-based performances. For Paallam Arts producer Krishnapriya Ramamoorthy, creating an event that belongs to the people of Wrexham remains central to the festival’s vision: “Spirit Fest 2026 is shapingup to be a vibrant, energetic, jam-packed event that will reflect the very best of our city”, she said. “We’ll be offering residents and visitors alike the opportunity to watch, participate in, and enjoy an experience like no other.”
Expanding Horizons and Community Impact
Since its founding in 2019, Paallam Arts has championed the belief that dance and movement belong to everyone
. Spirit Fest has become the organisation’s most visible expression of that vision as a free, inclusive celebration of creativity that continues to grow in scale and ambition year on year.

For one day this summer, Queen’s Square will become a place where international artists, local people and Wrexham’s visitors come together to share their stories and culture, and, with its most ambitious programme yet, Spirit Fest 2026 looks set to be its most memorable edition so far.
