West Mercia S&R Charity Event
April 28 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The West Mercia S&R (Search and Rescue) Charity Event will take place in April.
WMSAR are supporting a Mental Health in the workplace initiative “Putting Your People First”; aimed at managers and individuals looking for techniques to identify people within the workplace needing extra support.
Mental Health And Your Business
According to the Mental Health Foundation:
- Mental health issues in the workplace affect employee engagement, productivity and reputation. Mental health is estimated to cost £1,652 per employee per year.
- Currently, 15% of people experience mental health problems in the workplace, and 13% of all sickness absence days in the UK are because of mental health conditions.
- Better mental health support in the workplace could save UK businesses up to £8 million annually.

If you are interested in “Putting Your People First” and gaining a different perspective on mental health, join them at an event that introduces you to the latest thinking and techniques, and reveal some tools and new ideas.
The environment will be fun and informative, while helping you understand more about how your mind affects your daily life and how you can support others to make real change quickly. It’s not just a talk – the session will be interactive.
The event includes refreshments and a light lunch, courtesy of Hadley Park.

Further information
Introducing the speaker: Marcus Matthews, Award Winning Clinical Hypnotherapist and Life Transformation Coach.
A moment can change everything and Marcus, a former soldier and West Mercia and BTP police officer, knows this all too well. While serving Marcus found himself on the verge of suicide and no one knew. When he finally broke, the support he needed wasn’t there.
Having worked with TV personalities, CEOs, police officers, doctors, nurses and many business professionals, Marcus is making a difference by empowering people to change their lives and understand why they feel the way they do.
You will learn: New starting points for dialogues and start to identify what you don’t know.
Find out: Why people wait until they break.
Unlock: The secret to why people don’t feel good enough, and the life they want doesn’t seem available.
More About West Mercia Search And Rescue

West Mercia Search and Rescue is an entirely volunteer-run charity. Too often they are deployed by the police to recover vulnerable people who have taken their own life. How much better it would be if we could prevent some of these sad cases. They are proud to get involved in a campaign to address some of the issues before they become problems we have to deal with. We are keen to promote the idea of “Putting People First” in our everyday lives and particularly taking care of the people around us at work.

Thank you for your support and please let others know because when we work together, we can make real change.
