The winner of the charity fundraiser competition launched by the owner of Wrexham florist Regent House of Flowers, which we mentioned in February, has been announced.
North East Wales Search and Rescue
Corrine Reynalds won Laura Evison’s Pen Llyn Cfynwy and raised a whopping £500 for the North East Wales Search and Rescue, and member Louise Pickford picked a winner at the Trig with members of Walk About Women.

Laura also has another fundraiser in remembrance of her late partner’s birthday to raise money for SSAFA and Brecon Mountain Rescue. A framed A3 limited first edition of “The Crossing” will raise funds for SSAFA and Brecon Mountain Rescue. It is just £2 per entry, and all proceeds will be split between the two charities. Tickets will also be available at Regent House of Flowers.

“He Loved the Mountains”
Laura says, ‘I’m raising £300 for the SSAFA and Brecon Beacon Mountain Rescue. Mick was an army veteran, and this was a big part of his life. He loved the mountains, Brecon being his Forever Yem. Consequently, these two charities are also very important to me. Instead of challenges, I choose to paint, and I honour Mick’s memory once a year on his birthday with a painting of where he loved to be.
This year, I painted the Storey Arms route at the crossing, where you step over to start the long, hard slog up to Corn Du. This path, still used today by the army and SAS for training, was especially significant to Mick.

The first Framed A3 limited edition print, made from the original, will be up for grabs to win for just a £2 donation per entry, and all proceeds will be split between the SSAFA and Brecon Beacon MR teams.
The draw will take place on 31st August 2025.
