Wrexham’s Y/The Lab multi-artform venue at Eagle’s Meadow Shopping Centre played a key role in the Football Association of Wales’ celebration of the Cymru Women’s National Team, as they head to the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
Bespoke Murals
Avant Cymru is the the creative collective behind Y/The Lab. It has brought together graffiti artists AC Graffiti, Snot and also Dime One to create bespoke murals celebrating local members of the team.
The murals are at Westwood Primary in Buckley (where squad member Rhiannon Roberts has family) and Acton Park Primary (where Safia Middleton-Patel went to school).
The national campaign celebrates each squad member with graffiti artworks in the places they grew up, trained and learned to love the game.

Ashley Cooper of Avant Cymru said, “It’s been undoubtedly a pleasure to champion Wrexham’s women in sports and work with FA Wales. Thank you to the schools for their support and the artists for their amazing work. We’re also excited to see what the other Welsh graffiti artists have created across Wales.”
