As usual, Nightingale House Hospice never stop. They have a packed agenda, including an event in November, as well as news of an exciting challenge and a new initiative.

Twelve Tales of Christmas

Nightingale House Hospice is delighted to announce its Twelve Tales of Christmas evening. The Christmas concert will take place at 7pm on Saturday, November 22nd at William Aston Hall, Wrexham.

Guests are invited to an enchanting candlelit evening featuring choral and orchestral music, storytelling, and festive spirit. The concert will take audiences on a journey from reflection and remembrance to hope and light. It will also celebrate the people and community at the heart of the hospice.

Elan Catrin Parry

The evening will feature captivating performances from NEW Sinfonia, conducted and compered by Robert Guy. The much-loved Cantorion Rhos, directed by Ruth Evans, will also be performing. Eisteddfod winners Rhos Male Voice Choir and the talented Ellesmere College Chapel Choir, directed by Anthony Coupe, join the cast. Audiences will also enjoy the incredible voices of Elan Catrin Parry and Kathy Macaulay.

Tom Stephens

Tom Stephens is climbing to Everest Base Camp in memory of his late mum, Heather Stephens, to raise vital funds for Nightingale House Hospice.

A regional sales manager at Siemens Healthineers, Tom began his trek to Everest Base Camp on October 9th. The journey will take him to an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft). At that height, the air contains only half the oxygen of sea level. He is self-funding the expedition. This means every penny raised will go directly to supporting patients and families cared for by Nightingale House Hospice.

Tom’s mum, Heather, passed away in February at just 66 years old. Heather was a breast cancer nurse who dedicated her career to helping others, and before she became too unwell, she also volunteered at the Borras Nightingales charity shop.

Wrexham Monopoly

After months of planning and collaboration, Nightingale House Hospice is proud to reveal one of its most exciting projects to date, the launch of the official Wrexham Monopoly.

Developed in partnership with This is Wrexham, Wrexham AFC, and global game maker Hasbro, this special edition Monopoly board celebrates everything that makes Wrexham unique, from its iconic landmarks and much-loved attractions to the brilliant local businesses that give the city its heart.

An initial run of 4,000 boards will be produced, with all profits supporting the vital work of Nightingale House Hospice, providing compassionate, specialist palliative care to patients and their families across the region.
