WREXFEST, Wrexham’s original community festival, returns to Wrexham this Summer!

Wrexfest is a multi-venue event held in Wrexham on 14th & 15th August with the city at its heart.
It features live evening shows at Satih Seren, Xs, Ty Pawb and The Lab, including up-and-coming Welsh act Holy Coves’ album launch, rap legend LOCAL and Eisteddfod headliners Fleur de Lys, on 14th and 15th August. Still, despite the success of the nighttime showcases, Wrexfest are keen to return to their roots.
Festival organiser, Brendan Griffiths, said, “This year we have really tried to ramp up our free family fun day and community events. “Wrexham has seen a positive upturn in the rise of community events with events like Rhosddu Carnival, Spirit Fest, Black History Month, Afro Fiesta and Wrexham Prode to name a few, and we just want to keep the momentum going and show that Wrexham really is for everyone”.
One World Event
“We will host a huge family fun day on Eagles Meadow on the 15th August in partnership with City Radio and The Hive in Aid of Shelter Cymru with headline performances from Declan Swans, Baby Brave, Rebecca Royal and Welsh legends Neil ac Alun, but the emphasis will be on family with plenty for the kids to do”.
“On the same day, we will also host our “One World” event at Ty Pawb with artists performing from all over the world, including a headline performance from local act Panedeni”.
“With City of Culture on the horizon, Wrexham is a city in transition, moving from retail to culture, and Wrexfest is the perfect vehicle for that journey. Wrexham needs its community now more than ever, so I really hope people can come and support us”.
