North Wales Social Grows Its Support for Regional Businesses

North Wales Social continues to connect, support and grow local businesses across the region, with a bigger Expo planned for this autumn.

North Wales Social began in 2013 as a simple social enterprise. It grew from a weekly Twitter (now X) hour raising awareness for SMEs. Since then, it has grown into an organisation that businesses rely on for regular, full support. Small businesses, sole traders and larger local companies all now take part.

From Twitter Hour to Regional Expos

Monthly evening networking has run alongside the online hour since 2014. In summer 2025, however, the team moved away from X. They launched North Wales Zoom Hour instead. At the same time, North Wales Social held its first Expo event. It gave 35 businesses the chance to exhibit at a local rugby club. The experiment proved hugely popular, and attendees quickly asked when the next one would happen.

The next evening networking event runs on Wednesday, 16 September 2026. It takes place from 7pm to 9:30pm at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, Ellice Way, Wrexham.

A Bigger Expo for Autumn 2026

A successful spring Expo followed, filling the Inspiration Suite at Village Hotels, St David’s Park with 48 business stands. Now, North Wales Social is planning its biggest event yet. The North Wales Social Autumn Expo 2026 takes place on Thursday, 22 October. It runs from 10am to 2:30pm at Deeside Leisure Centre.

Exhibitors and visitors can expect over 70 stands and three motivational speakers. Screens will also rotate through every business signed up to the NWS directory. Organisers will provide lunch for exhibitors too. Four NWS awards will follow, covering the Best Expo Stand, Best Upcoming Business, Best Expo Social Media Contribution and Major Event Contribution.

To keep the event balanced, organisers will allow no more than two companies per business category. Half-price stands remain available through the NWS Gold Package. Meanwhile, a newly formed North Wales Social Expo Committee is now developing fresh ideas for future events.

How to Book a Stand

Stand bookings are already coming in from previous and new exhibitors alike. Full details of stands and costs are available at northwalessocial.co.uk/events. To book, businesses should email Dave Ledward at [email protected]. They should include their business name, attendee numbers, and the subject line “NWS AUTUMN EXPO 26.”
