The Friends of St Mary’s Church, Brymbo, have set up a “Buy a Slate” charity appeal to coincide with its 150th anniversary.
The group has been working tirelessly over recent months to keep St Mary’s Church open. They would like to thank everyone who has helped.
The group has secured funding to carry out emergency repairs. However, they now need to focus on the long term and raise funds to replace the roof, prevent further deterioration, and ensure the churchyard remains open.
The group has launched an online fundraising page so anyone who wishes to can “buy a slate” or donate towards the fund: justgiving.com/crowdfunding/friendsofstmarysbuyaslate.
