Cycling 4 All, the all-ability cycling charity based at Alyn Waters Country Park in Wrexham, raised over £2,800 at a festive Christmas Bazaar.

Grosvenor’s Eaton Estate

In particular, the event was generously hosted at Grosvenor’s Eaton Estate by kind permission of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster. As a result, it raised an impressive £2,840 to support the charity’s vital work. This funding helps provide inclusive cycling opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

Meanwhile, guests were welcomed with a glass of fizz and festive music performed by Nigel Reader, a Cycling 4 All trustee. At the same time, a selection of seasonal food, catered by Caffi Cyfle, kept visitors fuelled. In addition, visitors browsed local retailers offering unique Christmas gifts.

Afterwards, speaking following the event, Nigel Reader said, “I’d like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who came along to the Christmas Bazaar and helped us raise vital funds in support of the Pedal Power service. In addition, I’m extremely grateful to the local businesses for their generous donations of prizes and gifts. I also thank the stallholders and volunteers whose dedication made the event such a success.”

Pedal Power

Meanwhile, Cycling 4 All operates the Pedal Power service on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It offers a fleet of specialist and standard bikes for all abilities. For example, these include trikes, side-by-sides, hand bikes, wheelchair bikes, mountain bikes, and electric bikes.

Moreover, Pedal Power provides safe and inclusive cycling opportunities in a secure, traffic-free environment. Dedicated volunteers and cycling officers support each session. As a result, hundreds of people experience the joy, freedom, and health benefits of cycling every year.

Vital Service

However, Pedal Power receives no public funding. Therefore, each year the charity must raise the funds needed to keep this vital service running. This also supports the maintenance of specialist bikes, many of which have now been in use for over a decade.
