Bigger and better than ever – running from Saturday 6th to Sunday 14th June!

Organised by Walkabout Wrexham, the annual Wrexham Walking Festival returns this June with nine days of guided walks designed to celebrate the landscapes, history, and communities of North East Wales.

Something for Everyone

The festival features 21 free guided walks across the region. The routes vary in length and difficulty, making them accessible to a wide range of people, from experienced ramblers to casual strollers. Every walk is led by trained volunteer walk leaders, with flexible morning, afternoon, and evening timetables.

2026 Festival Highlights

  • Year of Wonder Walk: A gentle route around Wrexham celebrating the city’s Year of Wonder.
  • Ruabon to Wrexham: A beautiful evening route connecting the two areas.
  • Berwyn Hills Hike: A challenging full-day hike for more adventurous walkers.
  • Landegla to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct: An 11-mile trek tracking the journey to the famous World Heritage Site.
  • Hidden Gems: Guided walks through the Ceiriog Valley, quiet rural paths, and local historic landmarks.
