Ysgol Rhiwabon School Eisteddfod 2026 celebrated talent and house spirit, with Madoc House claiming this year’s title.
Students across Years 7 and 8 took part in this year’s School Eisteddfod at Ysgol Rhiwabon. Throughout the event, pupils showcased their skills in music, drama, art, recitation and creative writing. As a result, the standard of entries was exceptionally high, making the judges’ decisions particularly challenging.
A Closely Fought Competition
After a closely contested competition between the houses, Madoc House emerged victorious. Overall, the house earned the highest number of points across the various events, claiming the 2026 Eisteddfod title.
Llio Evans, Teacher of Welsh, congratulated everyone who took part. “Congratulations to all students who took part, and especially to Madoc House on their well-deserved victory,” she said. “We look forward to another memorable Eisteddfod next year.”
Organisers thanked all participants, staff and judges for helping make the event such a success.
