Some Year 7 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Glan Llyn. Throughout the visit, they took part in a wide range of outdoor activities. These included canoeing, climbing and team-building challenges. In addition, the activities helped them build confidence and strengthen their everyday Welsh skills.

Ms Llio Evans, Teacher of Welsh, said, “The pupils represented the school brilliantly, embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm. We’re incredibly proud of them and grateful to the staff who supported the trip”.

The visit encouraged independence and teamwork. Therefore, pupils returned with new skills and lasting memories.

GCSE PE Students Impress at Wrexham University Sport Summit

Year 10 GCSE PE students attended Wrexham University’s Sport Summit. The event offered a full day of practical and theory-based sport. Pupils took part in taster sessions and used university facilities and equipment. In addition, they explored the campus and experienced university life first-hand.

The summit aimed to build on students’ interest in sport. It also encouraged them to consider future study opportunities. Lecturers praised the group’s behaviour and engagement. In fact, they described it as the best they had seen.
