Two of Wrexham’s most prominent organisations are making headlines this month. Moneypenny continues to push the boundaries of AI and leadership. Meanwhile, Nightingale House Hospice is celebrating staff achievement and a community fundraiser. Together, they showcase the very best of what Wrexham’s business and charity sectors offer.

Moneypenny Drives AI Receptionist Growth in the Automotive Sector

Moneypenny has launched a dedicated automotive team to meet surging demand. The Wrexham-based business recorded a 125% increase in new automotive enquiries in Q1 2026. Furthermore, March alone saw automotive enquiries jump 167% compared to February. Casey Lewis recently joined as Business Development Manager, strengthening the automotive team further.

The specialist team offers 24/7 phone answering, AI Receptionist services, live chat and booking management. As a result, car dealerships no longer miss calls from sales prospects or service customers. Crucially, Moneypenny’s AI works alongside human staff rather than replacing them.

This blended model helps dealerships capture more opportunities and improve responsiveness. It also delivers consistently high-quality customer experiences at every touchpoint. Group CEO Jesper With-Fogstrup said his team handles every customer interaction brilliantly and misses no opportunity.

Moneypenny Launches Leadership Podcast Unchartered Territory

In addition to its AI growth, Moneypenny has launched a new podcast called Unchartered Territory. Host Jesper With-Fogstrup sits down with world-class business leaders and pioneering thinkers. Guests include Sir John Timpson, Sir Charlie Mayfield and Moneypenny co-founder Rachel Clacher CBE.

The podcast tackles leadership, customer experience and the future of work. Moreover, each episode goes beyond soundbites to explore the hard-won lessons of exceptional leaders. Moneypenny believes the best ideas come from questioning outdated thinking and leading with courage. Unchartered Territory is now streaming on Spotify and YouTube.

Nightingale House Hospice Promotes Nurse to Advanced Practitioner

Meanwhile, Nightingale House Hospice is celebrating a landmark staff achievement. Liv Taylor joined as a Staff Nurse in 2021 and quickly progressed to Deputy Ward Manager. She has now earned promotion to Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Senior hospice leaders secured a Hospice UK grant that partly funded her postgraduate studies. Liv is currently completing a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice at Liverpool John Moores University. “The grant has enabled me to develop my skills so I can work confidently,” she said.

Director of Clinical and Patient Services Tracy Thomas praised Liv’s dedication. “When our staff thrive, the care we provide becomes more responsive and skilled,” she said. Consequently, patients across the hospice’s catchment area benefit directly from this investment in people.

Community Raises £2,900 for Nightingale House Hospice at Tyn Dŵr Hall

Finally, the Llangollen and Chirk Nightingale House community groups hosted a joyful fundraising afternoon tea. More than 100 guests gathered at the Grade II listed Tyn Dŵr Hall in the scenic Dee Valley. They enjoyed freshly made sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones in glorious May sunshine.

Jazz and swing singer Jack Graeme entertained the room with Sinatra and Dean Martin classics. Additionally, a raffle featuring prizes from local businesses boosted the total further. The event raised an impressive £2,900 for Nightingale House Hospice. Indeed, it shows what local communities can achieve when they unite for a great cause.

All hospice services are completely free to patients and families. Therefore, every pound raised supports people across Wrexham, Flintshire and beyond who live with life-limiting illness.
