Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal

Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal

The Salvation Army is currently making preparations for its annual toy appeal to support families in need this Christmas.

In previous years, they have supported over 500 children with toys and gifts. This year, however, they are expecting an increase in the requests. A variety of agencies refer children and families they have been working with throughout the year. In this way, they able to ensure that the support goes to people who are in genuine need.  All the children and families referred are from within the county of Wrexham.

They are looking for people to donate new, unwrapped toys. However, financial donations are welcome and allow the charity to purchase vouchers to spend with local retailers.  The Salvation Army has a national agreement with specific retailers for the discounted purchase of vouchers. Consequently, this agreement makes sure that the vouchers are only valid for the intended purpose.

If you are able to help them to promote the appeal with local businesses or have any questions, please get in touch with Karen Edwards – Community Manager, The Salvation Army, Wrexham Corps, ARK Community Centre. Tel: 01978 311 076; Mob 07421 733 442.
