Xplore!

February is a busy month for Xplore! We start with Astronomy Evening on the 18th. We look at how the moon circles the earth, the earth revolves around the sun, and the sun moves around the supermassive black hole in the centre of our galaxy. But why do objects move as they do? What are the different orbits called, and what on earth is a “Lagrange Point”? It’s an evening that could get a bit dizzy as we delve into the world of orbits.

Friday Fun

Our Friday activities continue with Toddler Day on the 4th and 18th and Sensory Day on the 11th. Toddler Days are full of experiments, activities, and stories not to be missed. Our Sensory Day is a perfect way to experience our centre for those who need a quieter and less stimulating environment with lower light levels.

Xplore! is committed to welcoming all.

Jurassic Park!

Xplore! is also working alongside other organisations to bring the Wrexham-wide Winter of Wellbeing to the town. It’s a chance for the young and old to have fun, with activities in our walkway until the end of March. We also have fully-funded open-door evenings for young people aged 16-25. It’s a place to explore some science that is incredibly relevant to our current world.

Finally, Xplore! is turning Wrexham town centre into Jurassic Park on the 20th, with a chance to learn about dinosaurs through a free show in Queens Square and a chance to meet the dinosaurs in the walkway at Xplore! It’s a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the largest animals that have ever stalked the surface of the earth.
