Woody’s Lodge run across wrexham

Woody’s Lodge is orchestrating a 13.3-mile speed march/squadded run across the Wrexham area on Saturday, April 20th, 2024.

The event promises to be a memorable experience, beginning and concluding at the historic Guildhall in Wrexham (LL11 1AY). Following the Woody’s Lodge run, a mini-Armed Forces Day will be hosted on Llwyn Isaf (the green opposite the Guildhall). This will feature an active participation from Regimental Associations, Veterans Support Organisations, and other entities showcasing their valuable services.

The route covers 14.2 miles around the Wrexham area.

This post-event celebration will spotlight the commitment of these organisations. It will offer family-friendly activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere for all attendees.

The overarching goals of the initiative are to generate essential funds for Woody’s Lodge and to amplify the visibility of the participating organisations, which encompass teams from the Veterans community, local Armed Forces Reserve Units, Military Preparation College, and Emergency Services.

The event is to raise funds for Woody’s Lodge to continue to support their vital work and to raise awareness of the specialist needs of their armed forces community and civilian emergency service personnel.
