Regent House Of Flowers Owner Organises Fundraiser – As we reported a few months ago, Laura Evison of Regent House of Flowers recently organised a prize draw for two prints of her painting “The Sunset We Never Had”. Well, we can announce the lucky winners were Colin Maclachlan (former SAS) and Tom and Deb Jones (Overton).
Over £200 Raised!
Over £232 was raised for SSAFA and Brecon Mountain Rescue, and Laura is already planning her next draw! It will be for two framed, limited edition prints: Pen Llyn Cfynwy, Part I and II. They are each worth £55. and feature the view from the Trig at Pen llyn Cfynwy, overlooking the Llantisilio Mountains. This scene is from a walk from Llandegla, which Laura completed recently with the walking group called Walkabout Women.
The draw only costs £1.50 per entry donation. All proceeds will go to the North East Wales Search and Rescue Team, which cover the area featured in the prints. The draw will take place on June 1st. Go to justgiving.com/page/penllyncfnwy for all the details.

You can also email Laura at lausy8@hotmail.com with your name and amount of donation. She will, in return, send you your ticket numbers. If you just want to make a donation, you can remain anonymous.
Laura Evison
Laura started painting again during Covid when she met her partner Mick in 2019. Her first painting was of the Llantisilio Mountains, and when Mick took his own life in 2021, her painting journey began with landscapes of his favourite places in Brecon. When she joined Walkabout Women, she decided to continue painting landscapes of her favourite places in Brecon. Laura did this to support the mountain rescue teams of the area, especially after one of their members needed their assistance on the gully at Cnicht.
Since then, she has painted landscapes for the armed forces charity SSAFA and Brecon Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) in Mick’s memory once a year. She also paints views of the walks she does with Walkabout Women, so the proceeds can go to the most local MRT of that area.
Her aim is to have enough paintings to hold an exhibition. She would then aim to sell them, with proceeds going to the local MRTs and the SSAFA. For now, these limited edition and framed prints are to raise funds for them while she gathers her collection together.
If you would like to purchase a print from her collections, please pop over to her business website, regenthouseofflowers.co.uk, or call into the shop on Mount Street.
