Our mission has always been rooted in the community, its people, places and events.

Community Coverage

Love Wrexham Magazine was born in 2019 with a simple but important mission: to put Wrexham at the heart of everything we do. The idea came from a recognition that there was a gap in community coverage, and that the county deserved a publication dedicated to celebrating its people, businesses and culture. From the very first issue, our commitment has been clear: every story we publish is either about Wrexham or written by somebody connected to the area. That principle has guided us through 75 issues and continues to shape the way we work today.

Our “Community Corner” spreads, which appear in every issue, shout about the achievements of volunteers, clubs and individuals who make a difference at a grassroots level. We have covered stories ranging from school trips and fundraising efforts to the successes of local youth groups and the recognition of community leaders.

We distribute copies of the magazine in schools, visitor centres, community hubs and independent businesses, ensuring that our work is available and visible in the places where people meet and gather. This regular presence strengthens our bond with the community and gives us an authentic voice in local life.

Local History and Cultural Highlights

Issues carry features about local history, attractions, scenic walks and cultural highlights. By stocking the magazine in places such as the Visitor Information Centre, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Erddig and Chirk Castle, we extend our reach to visitors as well as residents, promoting the county to newcomers and tourists.

Our articles highlight new developments in leisure, hospitality and the arts. We also draw attention to festivals, murals and initiatives that bring colour to the city centre and surrounding villages. Month after month, the publication shines a spotlight on what our grand county has to offer, in print and online. Special milestone editions, such as our 50th issue, have been an opportunity to reflect on the stories we have told. They also underline our long-term commitment to the area.

We cover events and initiatives like Wrexham Recognition Awards, Baton of Hope, Wrexham Community & Business Awards, and Miners Rescue Station. By acting as a platform for these initiatives, we ensure that local achievements are recognised.

Milestone Editions

Our advertising pages provide an affordable platform for businesses of all types and sizes. We go further by offering cost-effective advert design, lowering the barriers for small businesses that are new to marketing. Through this support, we give local firms a chance to reach thousands of readers and grow their customer base. At the same time, we feature stories about new ventures and investment projects that promise job creation and long-term economic benefits for the county.

In all these ways, Love Wrexham Magazine has become more than just a free publication. It is a consistent advocate for the county, a record of its successes, and a bridge between residents, visitors and businesses. Our mission has always had its roots in community, and as we continue to grow, that foundation will remain at the heart of everything we do.
