The North Wales Foodies Return with Three of the Best from the Wrexham Food and Drink Festival

Doughnuts

We had a fabulous time at the Wrexham Food Festival – it was great to see so many people out in the sunshine enjoying some of the best food our area has to offer.

Doughnutology have been leading the way in the doughnut resurgence in Wrexham. The doughnuts are just the way they should be – always freshly made, soft and topped with a range of flavours meaning there’s something for everyone. Even better, they deliver for free around Wrexham – the perfect Friday treat for the office or for just a lazy duvet day. Find them on Facebook  or at Unit 3 The Livery, Summerhill LL11 4SH.

BAO Revolution

We’ve been following Bao Revolution on social media for a while and were excited to see them at the food festival. Baos are soft, steamed buns and we recommend pulled pork as the perfect filling with as little or as much chilli sauce as you can handle! Those with a sweet tooth are well catered for with a Nutella dipped bao. Vegan options are on the menu too. Visit their Facebook page.

Happy Hedgehog standHappy Hedgehog have a great range of vinegars, spreads and preserves. These are all natural and make the most of the seasonal produce that is on offer. We recommend a spiced apple sauce as the perfect complement to a pork dinner or their bacon and bourbon relish as the great way to add a little twist to your burgers. All these are available at the Happy Hedgehog cafe in Hightown and at food festivals and events. Visit their Facebook page or their premises at Queensway, Wrexham LL13 8UN (tel no: 01978 313 444).
