It has been another busy month at Groundwork North Wales with projects starting across the group.  Usually, at this time of year we host our annual prize draw and festive afternoon tea to raise funds for Pedal Power, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, this has not been possible. Instead, we are asking those who would have purchased prize draw tickets or attended the event to think abut making a donation to Pedal Power through Just Giving.

Annual Impact Report

Groundwork North Wales is proud to release their 2020 Impact Report.

As a charity that works to transform lives in disadvantaged communities, the impact report emphatically demonstrates how proud Groundwork North Wales are of the impact they make each year.

Groundwork Training Pathways Courses

Groundwork Training have been working with Wrexham Adult and Community Learning Partnership to offer our specially formulated Pathway Courses.

Indeed, recently, Groundwork Training has delivered a 12-week Introduction to Heath and Social Care and Early Years suite of courses. Consequently, ten learners have completed the course and achieved over 70 qualifications between them.

Creating homes – creating opportunities

Refurbs’ primary objectives are to provide affordable furniture, work placements, training and volunteering opportunities. Moreover, they raise awareness of the benefits of reusing and recycling and reduce pollution. They also protect the environment and promote sustainable waste management practice.

Wild Ground Digital Engagement

Thanks to funding from the Community Foundation Wales, Wales Respond and Recover Fund Wild Ground are working on increasing their digital engagement. This allows supporters, volunteers, conservation enthusiasts and the local community to keep up to date with our work and activities more easily.
