Learn Welsh

Learn Welsh courses

The majority of Learn Welsh courses are evidently in virtual classrooms at the moment. Additionally, there are courses available during the daytime and evenings. A network of providers on behalf of the National Centre for Learning Welsh concurrently deliver the courses.

There is in fact a course available here or you can watch our video for more information. You can also subscribe to our Youtube page to watch additional videos here.

National Centre for Learning Welsh

The National Centre for Learning Welsh (NCLW) is especially responsible for all aspects of the Learn Welsh sector – from curriculum and course development to resources for tutors, research, marketing and e-learning.

NCLW was specifically established in response to the report, Raising Our Sights: A Review of Welsh for Adults. It operates at arm’s length from the Welsh Government, which also funds it. Furthermore, it is part of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David group.

Putting learners first is the Centre’s key priority and the following brand values are at the heart of all its activities: “The National Centre for Learning Welsh will ensure that learners from all backgrounds receive support and encouragement on their journey to learning the language. Moreover, the Centre will carry out its work in a professional, progressive and committed manner.”
