Lots of events to participate in at Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse, Xplore! and Bolesworth Castle.
Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse
Flash: A Tribute to Queen will bring the iconic band’s high energy and timeless tunes to North Wales’ only racecourse on Tuesday, 5th September.
The entertainment follows a thrilling, six-card jump meeting. For those unable to attend the afternoon’s racing, the racecourse has now created a music-only ticket option for £10. It provides entry to the racecourse from 5.30pm to watch the Queen tribute act.
Principality Coding Club
Xplore! is hosting three Coding Club sessions in their Henblas Street Centre this month. Principality Building Society funds the activities. It allows attendees to get stuck into a range of coding and look at movement, sensing, gameplay, design, and how coding interacts with the real world.
The clubs are for 9 to 12 year olds, adults can stay and join in if they wish. The ticket includes everything you need to have a go, plus a snack and a drink.
The sessions will be held as after-school clubs running on Wednesday afternoons 4-5.30pm on the 13th, 20th and 27th of September. Due to funding, they can run the sessions at a hugely discounted price of £5 per child. Spaces are limited and booking is essential so sign your child up today for some coding fun.
Bolesworth Castle
The stunning 6,000-acre Bolesworth Castle estate will host AXFest over three days and two nights from September 15th.
Organised by Bolesworth’s Managing Director of Events and Arenacross creator Matt Bates, a former Pro Motocross rider. The celebration should attract over 10,000 visitors.
AXFest will feature world-class motocross, SuperEnduro racing and Freestyle Motocross displays in the amphitheatrestyle International Showjumping Arena. It’s an epic track containing 5,000 tons of earth – over 2,500 lorry loads!
The experience will also include onsite camping on Friday and Saturday night, a “thrillseekers funfair”, live shows, bike experiences for adults and kids, a huge range of retail and food and drink. Plus a live music stage with bands and DJs kicking off at night when the sport finishes.
Among the special guests already signed up to play are Mercury – one of the world’s leading Queen Tribute Bands and Rick Parfitt Jr and the RPJ Band on the Friday. Saturday will feature a High on Heels Ibiza set and an appearance by DJ, keyboard player and songwriter Sister Bliss, performing her Faithless set.
“The festival is going to be incredible for anyone wanting to experience one of the most exhilarating spectacles on two wheels in one of the most picturesque settings in the region,” said Matt.
