Opening fully in 2026, Stori Brymbo is set to become a must-visit destination in North Wales.
Geological Discoveries
Hidden beneath Brymbo for millions of years, the Fossil Forest is one of the most significant geological discoveries in the UK. The newly launched excavation offers a rare opportunity to witness one of the world’s most fascinating fossil sites up close.
Every Sunday, join one of their two Sneaky Peek Guided Tours, where you’ll hear directly from their palaeontologists about the incredible discoveries made so far—and the exciting work still to come at this one-of-a-kind site.

Pint Of Science
For those eager to explore the captivating world of fossils even further, Stori Brymbo’s Dr. Tim Astrop brings Pint of Science to Wrexham. This Worldwide Science Festival invites researchers to share their discoveries in relaxed, local venues such as pubs and cafés.
You can choose from two Wrexham events:
- Magic Dragon Brewery Tap, 19th May, 7–9pm
- Tŷ Pawb, 20th May, 7–9pm
At the first event, you’ll hear from resident fossil experts, Dr. Tim Astrop and Dr. Tom Hughes, as they delve into what fossils reveal about Earth’s distant past.

Alternatively, the second evening features talks on what happens to our bodies and minds after death, with insights from forensic archaeologists at Wrexham University and a local artist.
