If you’ve been into the centre of Wrexham recently, you can’t help but have noticed the amazing murals that have popped up all over – these stunning works of art are part of the brand-new Wrexham Public Art Trail.
Wrexham Community & Culture Trust
The initiative is part of the Wrexham Community & Culture Trust’s aim to bring arts, heritage, and culture to the area by introducing artworks and murals that brighten up many of the blank walls throughout the city, all connected to our area’s unique culture and heritage.

Wrexham-based artist Liam Stokes-Massey (AKA Pencilcraftsman) has coordinated the project and is responsible for five of the 12 works on display. The Shared Prosperity Fund has funded the project and has received strong support from the Wrexham City of Culture bid and the WCBC City Centre and Arts Teams.
Six new paintings have been completed to complement the existing football-related murals at The Fat Boar, The Turf Car Park, Eagles Meadow and Crispin Lane.
Regeneration Projects
The project coincides with several Council-led regeneration projects currently underway across the city centre, including the refurbishment of the Butcher’s and General Markets, the National Football Museum for Wales, a brand-new hub for creative industries, the pedestrianisation of High Street, and developments to our digital infrastructure.

More artworks and locations are due to be revealed soon! Follow Wrecsam2029 on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to stay up to date.
