Creative Freelancer Support Fund – Important Update
Please note – Temporary suspension to The Cultural Recovery Fund Freelancer Grant
The Welsh Government has temporarily suspended applications for the Creative Freelancer Support Fund. Applications for phase two will reopen shortly afterwards on Monday 19th October at 10am. The intention was always to deliver the Freelancer Grant over two phases to allow those freelancers more time to apply.
The duration of phase two will depend on the number of applications received by each local authority.

Fund For Creative Freelancers Affected By Covid-19
Creative Freelancer Support Fund – People working in the cultural and creative sectors in Wales will be able to apply for their share of a £7 million fund. Correspondingly, this fund specifically targets the workers in the freelance sector hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic.
The fund will open for applications on Monday 5th October 2020 and will subsequently run over two phases.
Individuals can apply for a £2,500 grant. However, they should check their eligibility before the application process opens by visiting the eligibility checker.
The fund will be open to freelancers in the sub-sectors of creative industries, and arts and heritage events whose work has direct creative or cultural outcomes.
