My husband, John, and I started the business in April 2004, selling carpets and flooring. We then began selling blinds in 2010 as we felt they went hand-in-hand with the flooring.
Before that, John had been a carpet fitter. He had trained at J Scott furnishers in Marchwiel since leaving school at 16 while I worked in government as a manager for 17 years.
Great Customer Service
We have a regular client base with many people coming back to us and recommending us to others. Excellent customer service is the absolute cornerstone of the business, in our opinion.
We deal with many manufacturers and wholesalers and sell carpets from £6.99 right up to £99 a square yard. Carpets2U sell all types of flooring, including carpets, vinyl, laminate, Karndean, Camaro, carpet tiles and rugs. We even screed uneven floors or board rooms if necessary. Our company can also arrange for the removal and replacement of stairlifts or order skips if required.
When it comes to blinds, we sell verticals, rollers, wood slats, aluminium, venetians and romans. We also have a large selection of made-to-measure curtains.
A Family-Run Business
I run the shop, and John runs the fitting team, which uses only our own fitters. Our prices are reasonable, and we also guarantee we will beat anyone else’s. We offer a Home Select Service that is entirely free and non-obligatory.
Being a family-run business and having been established for so long, we understand all our customers’ requirements, including families, single people, couples, and the retired.
We also do commercial work and have supplied and fitted many hotels, shops, rental properties and offices, locally and nationally. Carpets2U are, therefore, always in a great position to advise the best product for anyone’s needs.
The Best Possible Service
We feel we provide the best possible service, and our company has built a business based on reputation and experience, which we think is second to none.
Our customers are important to us. It is a joy to provide a good service to everyone from the moment they come into our shop or telephone for our Home Select Service right up to us installing the finished product in their homes or businesses.
Our motto is “If you can’t come to us, we will come to you” and this involves us coming to your home/business and bringing samples for you to browse while we take measurements. We can provide you with a price there and then. You are not obligated and it is completely free of charge.
We care and appreciate that different people have different budgets but still deserve the same service and respect regardless of how much they are spending. A floor covering, curtains or a window blind has a significant impact on a room and is not a small expense that you want to repeat that often so help in choosing the right product is essential.
We took a chance going into business, but have not looked back. We are proud of the company we have become, we actually really care about our customers and we really appreciate them coming back and recommending us to their family and friends.
