Wrexham Business Awards Hold Amazing Evening – Hundreds of people from Wrexham businesses and the wider community had a fantastic night at the second Wrexham Business and Community Awards (WBCA).

Hosted once again by TV and radio presenter Jason Mohammad, the awards were held at Brymbo Enterprise Centre and designed to honour and celebrate Wrexham’s past, present and future – with locally sourced drinks and a specially crafted menu that reflected the same theme.

There were 10 category winners on the night, carefully selected by a team of independent judges from over 100 entries from businesses and community groups across the city and the region. Award categories included The Creativity Award, The Small and Mighty Award and The Made in Wrexham Award, with Stori Brymbo taking home The Spirit of Wrexham Award for the exciting work taking place right next door to the Brymbo Enterprise Centre.

Samantha Jones, one of the founding members of the awards, commented, “Congratulations to all the shortlisted entries, and indeed the winners. The calibre of entries was high this year, and the judges, led by Best Companies, had a tough job selecting the winners.

A Huge Debt of Thanks

“We owe a huge debt of thanks to all our amazing sponsors and supporters, who have made tonight a reality. Without their incredible support, we wouldn’t have been able to make this – and the calendar of networking events, which took place throughout the year – happen.

“We would also like to thank our talented suppliers, from Skellon Events for masterminding this year’s awards, Em Creative for all print and screen design to FILMCAFE for the videography and ASG for the stunning AV.

The caterers, including Wild Garlic, who did a fantastic job, feeding 400 of us with such interesting and high-quality food, as well as all the many, many others, whose input and expertise made the night a success.”
