#typawbopen
Tŷ Pawb have decided to postpone the reopening of Tŷ Pawb’s galleries in view of the local Covid-19 restrictions, which started on 1st October. As a result of this, they have sadly postponed the judging of the Tŷ Pawb Open Exhibition for the time being.
Tŷ Pawb would like to express their heartfelt thanks and admiration to the 117 artists whose works are patiently waiting in the galleries. In the meantime, you can enjoy a virtual tour of the exhibition.

Tŷ Pawb Open Exhibition – Announcement of prizes
We received submissions from over 350 artists who subsequently provided three artworks for consideration. After that, three judges selected a range of works that not only matched the theme of the exhibition but also complemented each other and created a coherent display.
The judges making the selection were:
Lesley James – Winner of Wrexham Open 2018 Judges’ Prize
Katy McCall – Learning Manager at Manchester Art Gallery
Ffion Rhys – Curator, Aberystwyth Arts Centre
Together, the judges agreed on a selection of 117 artworks from 102 artists.

Creative Assignments
The Tŷ Pawb Open is displayed across both of our galleries. Additionally, we have works from our Creative Assignments project on show. At the start of lockdown, Tŷ Pawb commissioned seven artists to deliver a creative assignment as part of our ongoing Arts At Home programme. Jenny Cashmore, Peter Hooper, Sophie Lindsey, Ruth Stringer, Owain Train McGilvary, Rhi Moxon and Mai Thomas are the seven artists Tŷ Pawb commissioned for the project. You can see the outcomes of their projects in Gallery Two.
