Cambrian Credit Union Holding Plas Madoc Event

by Love Wrexham Magazine

Stop Loan Sharks Wales and Cambrian Credit Union are holding an event at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre from noon to 2pm on the 19th April. This is to identify if you would like to see a full cash Credit Union service within the Leisure Centre.

This would give you the opportunity to save and borrow from an ethical not-for-profit financial service. As a Credit Union, we operate to promote the well-being of our members.

All money you save with us is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme – the same as savings in a bank or building society. We also have arrangements with over 40 local companies, authorities, and health services to enable our members to make savings directly from their wages. For more information click here.

Higher Savings Rates

We return any profits we make in the form of reduced fees, higher savings rates, and lower loan rates. Credit unions also work hard to ensure that the financially vulnerable do not fall victim to high-cost lenders.

We want to grow membership in Plas Madoc and offer a full cash service, so you can control your finances. The event will provide you with the opportunity to ensure that Cambrian Credit Union gives you a service that you want and need. If this is something you would like to see available, please attend the event.

We will have consultation papers available until 1st May in Plas Madoc Leisure Centre if you cannot make the event. The papers will also be entered into a prize draw with the opportunity to win a £40 Amazon voucher.

Attending the event and making your views known will enable us to look at opening a service in the area. For more information, contact sandy.highfield@cambriancu.com.
