Security Foundry are to sponsor Focus Wales, the leading international showcase festival, for a third year. The sponsorship will reinforce work it delivers to help secure their everyday operations.
Security Foundry, with its team of highly skilled engineers and cyber analysts based throughout Wales, are delighted to be working with FOCUS Wales for a third year as one of their business sponsors and their appointed cyber-security technology advisors.
How we work together
Firstly, Security Foundry started with an initial technical engagement comprising an overall assessment of the needs of the whole organisation. Looking at all systems, applications and requirements, and then prioritising efforts on the overall security of the FOCUS Wales website.
Once we had understood the overall needs of the organisation, we used this to prioritise what we should work on together. Our zero-touch remote scan assessment allowed us to show the team what a hacker could see on their website. We immediately gave their management team some quick wins and recommendations to improve their cyber resilience or overall security posture using both existing technologies at no cost wherever possible.
Why Cybersecurity is important to FOCUS Wales
The FOCUS Wales team coordinated hundreds of professionals during the build-up and to the festival performance itself, hundreds of professionals. The team tackles the huge task of planning the details and logistics of delivering upwards of 250 performances across 20 venues, over three days for over 15,000 attendees.
In between the festivals itself, the organisation then scales back to being a traditional small business with a management team of IT users. With ticket holders and performers being based all over the globe, protecting their brand and safeguarding their personal, ticketing and customer data against international standards such as GDPR is of paramount importance. Along with protecting their brand.
Security Foundry’s Experience
Secondly, Security Foundry has many years of experience of helping customers navigate the complexities of migrating from traditional shared hosted environments to next generation dedicated cloud-based platforms. Offering superior performance and enhanced security capabilities, working against appropriate data frameworks in mind. We have complimented our technical efforts alongside FOCUS Wales’ own IT providers. Offering them our guidance, advisory and assessment services. Security Foundry also act as an independent expert ensuring FOCUS Wales to bring the best music and global acts in emerging music to perform right here in Wrexham.
