Our newest gastropub, The Savvy Fox at Hotel Wrexham, is ready to welcome guests after a week of “first-look” events.
Newly Revamped Venue
Located at Hotel Wrexham (formerly Holt Lodge) on Wrexham Road, this newly revamped venue is the perfect spot to meet, dine, socialise, and unwind. Following a £350,000 refurbishment, The Savvy Fox (formerly Rafters) has undergone a transformation and is now a charming, rustic country pub, featuring stylish décor, cozy corners, and a spacious dining area with beautiful views of the grounds.
In addition, the gastropub offers a fresh, British-inspired menu full of classic pub dishes, signature specialities unique to The Savvy Fox, hearty Sunday roasts, and indulgent desserts. The drink menu is equally impressive, with a generous selection of beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails.
The Love Wrexham team were made to feel very welcome at the press night just before the gastropub’s launch night. The Savvy Fox and Hotel Wrexham team have created a beautiful, cosy environment, and it felt an honour to be there.
“Dishes Were Exquisite”
We enjoyed a six-course taster menu. All of the dishes were exquisite, and the presentation was spot on: mussels in cream
sauce, black pudding scotch egg, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie with long-stem broccoli, Eaton mess and finally the cheese
board.
All of these were delicious but our personal favourite was the black pudding scotch egg.
Come along to the Savvy Fox throughout December and join them every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7pm to 9pm for live performances by talented local artists, running right up until December 21st. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the music while savouring a bite to eat or a few drinks in their cosy atmosphere.
